AMS Coatings, Inc provides three permanent lubrication coatings that comply with the most current rev of AMS2525, AMS2526 and AMS2530. AMS Coatings provides dri-film coatings equivalent to those offered by E/M Coating Services (Microseal®) and Dicronite®. However, we do not use proprietary trade names for our coatings…we simply process per either the SAE/AMS specification or Military Specification. As it relates to the graphite coating Microseal® 100-1 is a proprietary process owned by E/M Coating Services. Their process complies with AMS2525, which is the process standard for the application of High Purity Graphite as a lubricant applied by impingement. Our process is simply named AMS2525 and complies with the application and testing standards of AMS2525. In summary we can certify to the graphite impingement per AMS2525, but not to Microseal® as it is a proprietary name and owned by E/M Coatings, though they comply with the same process and testing standards. The same is true for the other two impinged coatings as it relates to Microseal® and Dicronite® and Aerospace Material Specifications as stated in the matrix below:
